Class Overview
In second grade, students begin to work independently. To enhance learning, individual creativity and hands-on activities are provided. The classroom meets individual needs of all learners by using a variety of learning techniques including SmartBoard, cooperative learning, reading groups, and tutoring.
I recognize the uniqueness and worth of all students and will teach each student the concepts, knowledge, and skills necessary to be thinking, productive, and responsible citizens. I use a broad range of assessments and provide early and quick intervention.
Class Schedule:
- 8:55 Students report to class
- 9:00 - 11:30 Reading, Language, Spelling, Writing
- 11:30 - 12:25 Recess and lunch
- 12:30 - 1:30 Math
- 1:30 - 2:00 Resource
- 2:00 - 3:10 Science and Social Studies
- 3:10 - 3:20 Pack up
- 3:30 Dismissal
