Class Overview
The goal of the Title I program is to remediate students in reading and/or math. I work closely with the classroom teachers to identify the needs of each student. Various approaches are used to remediate students who have not mastered skills in the classroom. The goal is to provide the students the tools they need to be independent learners. I work with students for thirty minutes in small groups or I go into the classroom and team teach with the classroom teacher. Each six weeks the classroom teachers and I meet to evaluate all of the students’ progress to determine their individual needs. It is at this time that students may be dismissed or entered into the Title I program. Parents are sent a letter notifying them of these changes.
