Class Overview
We are a full day kindergarten. Our day is spent on language arts, math, science, social studies and special activities. Activities meet the needs of all learners. In reading, we focus on letter recognition, sounds, color words, rhyming words, and basic sight words. Math skills include sort and classify, number recognition and formation, patterns, graphing, measurement, telling time to the hour and half hour and addition and subtraction. In social studies we learn about community helpers, maps and globes, citizenship and U.S. symbols. Science skills incluse the five senses, matter, magnets, and seasonal changes. We have movement ed as well as music on Monday. We have art on Tuesday. Library is on Wednesday and we have computer lab on Friday. Parents should send a daily snack for their child.¼/
