Guidance Overview
The Lynchburg City School Board affirms that parents are students’ first teachers and that public schools should serve to strengthen family and parental support. The following guidance and counseling services are available to all students.
Academic Guidance
- Assist students and their parents so that each child can reach his/her academic potential.
Career Guidance
- Help students develop career awareness.
Personal and Social Guidance
- Assist students in developing an understanding of themselves and the rights and needs of others.
- Assist students in resolving conflicts.
- Help students define individual goals.
- Help students identify their interests, abilities and aptitudes.
