Thursday 12/11 Complete section 2 vocabulary read chapter 23.3 pp 675-680 possible section quiz for grade tomorrow

Friday  12/12 Section three quiz today?

Working in class on last of the handouts No homework this weekend we will finish chapter 23 by Weds. of next week. This will be followed by a video on Teddy Roosevelt.

Notes: The timeline notice for the History Day Project will be coming home in the next few days, be on the look out for it.  Mark the days on the family calenders. This is not something that can be put off till last minute. Also please take time to look through the History Day packet  and see what’s involved in your students chosen method of presentation and what you can and can’t help them with.

Monday  Holiday

Tuesday   Read section4 of chapter 20 and complete the “As You Read” handout

Wednesday   Do Chapter 20 Key Terms p590 and study for  MW/SW regions state quiz

Remember to bring all the key terms for chapter 20 sections 1-4 on Thursday, this is for grade.

Thursday The Midwestern and Southwestern region states  quiz is TODAY. Also your written portion of the inventor/ invention project will be due tomorrow.

Friday           Chapter 20  test today.

Written portion of invention project is due.  The model section is due next Friday.

Thinking Ahead

You should be receiving your history day form from me tomorrow. Be thinking about and researching your topic and presentaion method. This information is due by 31 October.

Parents:  The History Day Project

The Language Arts department and the Social Studies department are working on different portions of this together. The research paper being required by Language Arts is a seperate requirement from the History Day Project entry, though we will be using many of the same materials.

Thursday :study for chapter 19 test on Friday. Tutoring session after school today. You must have written permission from parents to stay for this.
