Reminder- Students should be leaving their textbook at HOME to use for studying!!! We now have books to use in the classroom :-)

* Today’s cloud watching was a great success!!! Thank you to all parents who lent their children towels and blankets for sitting outside and watching the sky. The weather finally cooperated and we were able to observe all sorts of weather conditions and factors.  I think this was an excellent example of the exciting discoveries that await us in our own backyards!

Earth Science Homework (9/22-9/23) September 22nd, 2008

Dear Parents,

For the next two weeks we will be studying weather factors, weather patterns, and climate. Please encourage your child to read through chapters 16, 17, and 18 (certainly not all at once!). In addition, students will have printed notes to further direct their study to specific information. Encourage your child to begin studying now as we will have a test at the end of this unit.  Students will reap greater benefits from studying a little each night rather than trying to memorize large amounts of information all at once.

**Announcement!! Earth Science students may now leave their “Red Science Textbook” at home as a study aid as we now have books to use in the classroom!

**As we study the weather, please encourage your child to watch the local forecasts on TV or listen to them on the radio. This is a great way for students to see real life applications of our current topic of study : )
