Thirty-seven student writers at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School for Innovation will be published authors in March.
Dunbar received word from Creative Communications that 29 students had essays chosen for publication and eight students had poems chosen for publication.
Sixth-grade essay winners are Dontre Hylton, Janiyayh Robinson, Destiny Saunders, and Emily Vanleer; eight grade essay winners are Jeremy Lindsay, Mia Brandon, Jasmin Arrington, Chanel Banks, Chris Burns, Raven Callands, Juwan Calloway, Xavier Clark, Alexis Dabney, Larry Dudinow, Machiah Hameltt, Zach Hancock, Kameron Harsley, Malik Harris, Lexi Hibbard, Montez Hubbard, Desiree Humbles, DeAndre Jackson, Ryan Mullin, Payton Nelson, Cain Peerman, Ewin Rafael, Allan Weidner, Taylor Woody, and Corwin Wright.
Sixth-grade poetry winners are Macy Brandon, Demarr Gillis, Lauren Manville, Victoria McCoy, Justin Penalva, Laila Wilson, and Destiny Davis. The eighth-grade poetry winner is Denario Rucker.
