Sandusky Middle School sixth grade honor roll students participated in National Arbor Day in April.
The local Arbor Club donated 13 trees, and the sixth grade scholars helped with planting, while learning about caring for the trees. Mayor Michael Gillette and Principal Maria Jaeger participated in the ceremonial turning of the spade. Then, each sixth grade group was guided by a tree steward in the planting of their tree.
