Two Lego teams from the R. S. Payne GO Center competed at the First Lego League regional level, with one of them advancing to the state level competition at James Madison University in December.
Eighteen students from RSP competed. The Block Ness Monsters placed second overall in the division to advance to state. The Tide Riders team placed in two categories, including first in the Core Values division and second in the Robot Program division.
“Both teams represented R. S. Payne and LCS with sportsmanship, grace, and gratitude,” said teacher Lori Smith.
