The Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, Inc. partnered with the Lynchburg City Schools to host a Senior Honors Recognition Program in May on the Randolph College campus. The purpose of the dinner was to honor the top 15 seniors from E. C. Glass High School and the top 15 seniors from Heritage High School for their superior academic accomplishments. The event was attended by administrators from the Lynchburg City Schools along with Lynchburg City School Board members, sponsor representatives, and Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation Trustees. The program included a keynote address by astronaut and Heritage High School graduate, Mr. Leland Melvin. In addition, each honored senior invited two family guests as well as a special teacher from his/her K-12 educational experience who had a lasting impact on the student’s life.
