The 42nd annual Central Virginia Regional Science Fair was held on March 2, 2019 at Central Virginia Community College. The 80 students participating represented high schools from Amherst County, Appomattox County, Bedford County, Campbell County and Lynchburg City Schools.

The fair is an affiliate of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. There are 14 students nominated to represent the regional fair at the Virginia State Science & Engineering Fair to be held April 6th in Roanoke.
