On Friday, February 17, 2023, students from Heritage High School (HHS) and E. C. Glass High School (ECG) competed in a regional SkillsUSA competition held at Pittsylvania Career & Technical Center. Lynchburg City School students competed against students from Danville City and the counties of Bedford, Franklin, Pittsylvania, Patrick, Henry, and Nelson. LCS students competed in competitions involving Cosmetology, Automotive, Criminal Justice, and Precision Machining. Other SkillsUSA competitions were Carpentry, Masonry, HVAC, Cyber Security, Information Systems, Collision Repair, and Welding.
Lynchburg City Schools students shined with many students qualifying for states and even more placing in the top three and receiving medals.
