Starting on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, the Missed Bus Pickup program will change its hours of operation. Missed Bus Pickup will be available from 7:15-11:15 a.m. only on a first come, first served basis.
This pilot initiative provides students who have missed their regular school bus pickup with an alternative form of transportation to school. Funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia as part of the All In VA initiative, the program is designed to remove barriers to attendance by making transportation more accessible for families across the division.
Here’s how the program works:
- If your child misses the bus, call their school’s main office to request a ride through the attendance clerk.
- Each student will be allowed two rides per quarter.
- Students will be transported to school only, not home from school.
