Staff and students are settling in nicely at the newly renovated Carl B. Hutcherson Building, and now they are eager to invite the community to a re-opening event on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m.
Parents, students and members of the community are invited to see the school that now houses six preschool classrooms, offices for social workers and itinerant teachers and therapists and the new Elementary Alternative Education school.
"It's wonderful to be back in our building!" says Polly Smith, principal of the new school. "It is exciting to see the variety of programs working together for the benefit of the Lynchburg community."
There will a brief welcome dedication, refreshments, activities for children and tours of the building. Parents will be able to see their children's classrooms and touch base with their teachers.
The Hutcherson Building is located at 2401 High Street.
