Paul L. Dunbar Middle School for Innovation student Julia Stewart was accepted to the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D. C. Julia was nominated by a teacher last year, Mr. Romero Morgan, who recognized her as a student who has achieved academic excellence and possesses strong leadership potential.
Julia is among middle school students from around the country who were invited to the conference, where they will enhance their leadership skills and learning how to apply them in their own communities.
Upon completion of the program, students earn an official Certificate of Merit as a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Julia is currently fundraising through bake sales and other efforts to cover the cost of attending the conference.
