PTO BOARD MEETING
Our next PTO Board meeting will be held TONIGHT in the BHS Library at 7:00 pm. All BHS families are invited to attend and free childcare for school aged children will be provided in the cafeteria.
BHS SPIRIT NIGHT @ BLAZE PIZZA
Join us on Tuesday October 8th for our SPIRIT NIGHT at Blaze Pizza (Wards Crossing Shopping Plaza) from 4:00-8:00 p. m. Blaze Pizza will donate 20% of all purchases with the flyer (see attached) back to our PTO. You can even show the flyer from your phone. Thank you for supporting our PTO! We hope to see you there!

BHS GARDEN PROGRAM – LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
Our Fall Garden program is in full swing. We are looking for volunteers on Thursdays during K to 3 recess periods or form 10:15 to 12:15 every half hour. The first recess is second grade, then kindergarten, first and third grades. During recess, we ask for student volunteers who help us harvest our fall garden. Last week we harvested corn and this week it will be flowers. Still to come will be beans, watermelon and carrots. The more volunteers we have, the more children we can allow to participate. Come for one recess or all. No gardening experience necessary. The students love doing this and it is a really fun activity. Please note, you must have a current school year LCS volunteer background check and check in at the front door (please do not come through the garden gate). https://www.lcsedu.net/community/volunteer

BOOKS NEEDED FOR BHS SHARE SHELF
If you have any gently used children's books/chapter books that you would like to donate to our BHS Share Shelf, we would love to have them. We have a bookcase in our cafeteria with free books that students can take home, read, return or keep so they have books in their home to read. Please encourage your children to check out the Share Shelf and read every night!

All beginners should continue to bring an egg carton to class. We will begin to work on our bow hold this coming week.
Students should be reviewing O Come, Little Children or working on it as a new piece. If you are not a beginner, you should be marking your October calendar every time you practice at home. Remember Practice = Progress!

Husky Spirit Wear order forms have been sent home in backpacks. Please fill in your order form and return it to school. Last day for orders will be October 11.
