Bus Transportation Update #1
3:24 p.m.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to provide all families with accurate transportation information. The transportation team, along with support from multiple departments and the transportation software consultants, has been working tirelessly through the weekend to update the information.
As of 2:30 p.m. today, bus routes for students zoned for the following schools have been reviewed, verified and updated:
- Bass Elementary School
- Dearington Elementary School for Innovation
- Heritage Elementary School
- Hutcherson Early Learning Center
- Linkhorne Elementary School
- Perrymont Elementary School
- Sandusky Elementary School
- Sheffield Elementary School
- Sandusky Middle School
- Dunbar Middle School for Innovation
Bus routes for students zoned for these schools can be found using the "Find My Bus" link.
More information will be shared about the bus routes for students invited to schools outside of their zone. We are still working on R. S. Payne Elementary School which includes our GO Center students who are transported to and from homes throughout our city. The same is true for our students who attend T. C. Miller Elementary School for Innovation.
The team will continue to make updates and communicate these to you at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Bus Transportation Update #2
7:33 p.m.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to provide all families with accurate transportation information.
The bus routes for students zoned for all schools except E. C. Glass High School have been reviewed, verified and updated. The team continues to work tonight to complete bus routes for students at E. C. Glass.
Bus routes for students zoned for these schools can be found using the "Find My Bus" link.
We continue to address technical issues and have determined that some stops create safety concerns. Some stops may have students walking long distances or requiring them to cross a dangerous street/road. The team is working student by student to find the safest route for those affected students.
Principals will be reaching out tonight to parents/guardians of those 5 to 25 affected students per school who do not have assigned stops to determine if the student can be a car rider until a stop can be assigned. If this is not possible, please make the principal aware when they call so we can make arrangements for an alternate pick up.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to work diligently to provide updates.
