Greeting LCS Families and Employees,
As of January 6, 2022, Lynchburg City Schools will follow the Virginia Department of Health updated guidelines for COVID-19 isolation and quarantine (VDH Isolation and Quarantine FAQs for K-12 Schools).
The COVID Response Team and School Board will discuss these new guidelines at the School Board Meeting on January 11, 2022 and will update the Health Mitigation Plan accordingly.
Please review the information below and refer to the VDH guidance linked above for specific changes to isolation and quarantine protocols. As always, to ensure that we are able to keep our doors open for in-person instruction, please continue to monitor the health of your students and keep them home if they are displaying COVID-19 related symptoms, have been exposed to COVID-19 in the home or community, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Please contact your school nurse and/or administrator if you have any questions.
